Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in

  Painting

  , Drawing, and related Fine Arts subjects.
• Develop and deliver innovative curriculum content in both traditional and contemporary art practices.
• Guide students in studio work, research projects, and exhibitions.
• Conduct practical workshops, live demonstrations, and critiques to enhance artistic skills.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Supervise art exhibitions, student portfolios, and public displays.
• Engage in personal creative practice and contribute to the university’s art and cultural initiatives.
• Participate in academic planning, departmental meetings, and committee activities.
• Contribute to research, publications, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Stay updated with current trends, technology, and pedagogy in visual arts education.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Essential:

• Master’s Degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade).

• Desirable:

• Ph.D. in Fine Arts (Painting) or UGC NET qualification.
• Proven record of exhibitions, art practice, or publications in reputed forums.
• Prior teaching experience at university or art institution level.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong conceptual and technical understanding of painting techniques (oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, etc.).
• Excellent artistic, pedagogical, and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and mentor students in creative research and practice.
• Team player with collaborative and innovative approach.
• Familiarity with digital art tools and modern teaching aids is an added advantage.
