Assistant Professor English

As an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, your role involves teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in English Literature and Language. You will be expected to engage in scholarly research, provide academic advisement, and actively contribute to departmental and institutional development. Key Responsibilities: - Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in English Literature and Language. - Conduct scholarly research in the field of English studies. - Provide academic advisement to students. - Participate actively in the development of the department and the institution. - Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Exhibit strong academic writing and research capabilities. - Ability to teach across a wide range of literary genres and periods. - Implement a student-centered and innovative approach to pedagogy. - Collaborate effectively in academic and administrative teams. Qualifications Required: - Ph.D. in English Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT), Cultural Studies, or related areas from a recognized institution.
