Assistant Professor and Technical/Lab assistant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dehradun for an Assistant Professor and Technical/Lab Assistant in the Media and Mass Communication Department. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, engaging in research activities, and guiding students in their academic and professional pursuits. Industry experience is encouraged. Should be able to teach theory and practical subject. Should have good knowledge of new media related subjects. The Technical/Lab Assistant will assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of TV studio equipment and support faculty and students with softwares like Photoshop, Adobe, Indesign, QuarkXpress along with production related work.

Qualifications

• For Assistant Professor:
• Ph.D. in the relevant field from a recognized university
• Prior teaching experience at the university level
• Industry experience will be preferred.
• Strong research background with published papers in reputed journals
• For Technical/Lab Assistant:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in relevant field
• Experience in handling equipment and software
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an academic environment
