Position: Assistant Product Developer

Objective:

Manage fabric sourcing, coordinate samples, support project planning, and collaborate with cross- functional teams to ensure timely product development.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing and assisting fabric sourcing activities
• Assisting the PM with email management, meeting deadlines, and overseeing project planning and completion
• Conducting research on new fabric concepts and silhouettes relevant to the department
• Coordinating samples, strike-offs, and other design-related elements
• Involvement in CAD work for embroideries, new silhouettes, and artworks
• Organizing mill visits and coordinating meetings

Position Requirements

• Experience in a previous fashion role (e.g., fabric sourcing, design, product development)
• Highly organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Comprehensive understanding of fabric types and mills
• Collaborative and a strong team player
• Confident speaker and presenter
• Punctual and a clear communicator
• Competent in Adobe systems
• Fluency in Tamil language would be an added advantage

Other Key Notes Regarding the Role:

• This role is primarily within the children's wear department, so a keen eye for newness in kids wear and babywear is desirable.
• The role involves working closely with the Product Manager on a daily basis, while also collaborating with the wider Product Team (including PMs and Assistants) and the general merchandising team within the department. An attractive remuneration package awaits the right candidate.
