Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

Responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials required for capital expenditure projects (CapEx).
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other criteria to make informed purchasing decisions.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to optimize pricing and terms of delivery. Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers regarding deliveries, quality, or contract terms.

Preferred candidate profile

Skills and Qualifications:

(BE/B.Tech)Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience in handling the sourcing and procurement of chemical raw materials as well as Capex is essential.
Proven experience as a procurement manager or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
Solid understanding of supply chain processes and logistics.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
