Support effective maintenance and breakdown service of elevators/escalators in the assigned territory to ensure safety, uptime and customer satisfaction.
Assist the Service Manager in managing field technicians, service quality, contracts, and documentation for existing installations
Key responsibilities -
Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for lifts and ensure adherence by service technicians. Track breakdowns, callbacks and drive timely closure, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Conduct site visits and safety audits; ensure compliance with company safety procedures and statutory norms for elevator operations.
Supervise and guide technicians: route planning, allocation of calls, on-the-job support, toolbox talks, and performance feedback.
Coordinate with customers for complaints, shutdown planning, access permissions and communication of service reports.
Verify and approve service reports, checklists and incident reports; maintain accurate records in the service MIS system.
Knowledge & skills - Diploma / Degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Prioritising emergency calls, deciding resource deployment and escalation.
Technical decisions on shutdown, part replacement, and temporary restoration.
