Assistant Manager - SCM Presales

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle pre-sales RFPs and RFx processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams on costing and proposal preparation.
• Apply strong business acumen to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
• Responsible for receiving the RFP enquiries from the pre-sales group and understand the same from a technical perspective regarding any complex materials involved, high solvent usage etc.,
• Initiate enquiries to the relevant source group based on the past experience, major source databases and other platforms Row2, IQVIA, Scyfinder, Chemical book, Chemical weekly etc. virtual platforms
• Receive quotes and perform due diligence to identify the sources that can be considered for sourcing
• Review quotes received correctness, storage and other concerns and pricing related nuances
• Finalize the commercial offer and send it to Pre-Sales after due verification
• Continue to receive quotes from the suppliers and update the database so that when customer returns to place a PO, sufficient quotes are available in the system helping timely execution of the project
• Getting Import & Export data from Volza & Exim website.
• Reviewing all the summary details with Manager.
• Sending the updated cost sheet along with Summary details to Pre-sales team within TAT timelines.
• Getting internal stock transfer material requirements from Scientific team
• Co-ordinating with planning team to verify the required stocks of Unit-1,Unit-2 & Unit-3.
• Processing Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) to Unit-1, Unit-2 and Unit-3.
• Processing for Sale Order and co-ordination with Logistics team for Job-Work activities.
• Processing Stores activities if stores person unavailable alternatively.
• Co-ordinating with SAP-IT team for vendor code creation and material codes extended and not maintained.
• Getting e-mail requests from Scientific team of GDS, CMS & Peptide teams.
• Sending enquiries to all the vendors, custom synthesis manufacturers and suppliers.
• Verifying import & export data from Volza against the materials.
• Summarizing the data received from vendors and sharing to team.
• Getting samples from vendors if required for our scientific team.
• Getting quotes for RLD Innovator samples requested by Scientific team.
• Getting quotes for Job-work related requirements for the scientific team.
• Uploading Cost Sheets uploading in SCM online drive Source
• RFQ data (received from scientific team) updating into online drive source
• Updating new sources into an online drive source.
• Co-ordinating as a CFT Member from SCM team for assigned project.
• Participating in all the CFT Teams Calls as per Organized timelines.
• Regularly verifying with Buyer for pending Raw materials from vendors.

Updating the information to the project team received data regarding pending materials and other details.

Preferred candidate profile

Must Haves: -

• Exposure to

• Ability to understand costing structures and provide strategic inputs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry
