Assistant Manager Safety - Bokaro

The   Assistant Manager Safety  will be responsible for   developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies  related to   slag management and metal recovery operations . This role involves conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading safety training initiatives, and   managing a team  to foster a strong culture of safety.

• Develop, implement, and enforce   safety policies and procedures  related to slag management and metal recovery.
  
• Conduct   regular safety inspections and audits  to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  
• Investigate   incidents and accidents , determine causes, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  
• Ensure compliance with   local, state, and federal safety regulations  and industry-specific guidelines.
  
• Maintain accurate   records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions .
  

• Perform   risk assessments   and  Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)  for all slag management and metal recovery operations.
  
• Develop and implement   risk mitigation strategies  to minimize workplace hazards.
  
• Monitor the   effectiveness of risk management plans  and adjust as necessary.
  

• Organize and conduct   safety training sessions  for employees to promote awareness of safety best practices.
  
• Ensure all personnel are   trained in the proper use of safety equipment  and emergency response protocols.
  
• Stay updated on   industry best practices and regulatory changes, incorporating them into safety training programs.
  

• Develop and maintain   emergency response plans and procedures  for slag management and metal recovery operations.
  
• Coordinate and conduct   emergency drills  to ensure preparedness among employees.
  
• Act as the   primary point of contact during safety emergencies , ensuring timely and effective response coordination.
  

• Lead and manage the   safety team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  
• Supervise and mentor   safety officers and coordinators , providing guidance and professional development.
  
• Conduct   regular team meetings  to review safety performance, share updates, and drive continuous improvement.
  
• Promote a   culture of safety  by collaborating with operational managers, supervisors, and employees.
