Assistant Manager - QA/QC

Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer at VRV Asia Pacific Pvt. Ltd, a Chart Industries Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our vacuum insulated cryogenic storage tanks for various applications. Your responsibilities will include implementing project quality control plans, conducting shop inspections, coordinating with third-party inspection agencies, and monitoring quality parameters to ensure compliance with standards. Your extensive experience in QA/QC functions in Pressure Vessels, Boiler, or fabrication industry will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our products. Key Responsibilities: - Implement relevant project quality control plan/inspection and test plans - Carry out shop inspections as per approved Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) - Conduct inward material/stage/final inspections and release the product for further processing - Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and prepare inspection reports/quality records - Witness critical activities and processes such as procedure qualification, welder/operator qualification, and production welding - Ensure all welding activities are in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specification (WPS)/Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) - Monitor quality parameters and control any deviation from the requirements - Report non-conformances and assist in implementing corrective actions - Review inspection and test records and authorize them for sub-contractors and vendors - Prepare manufacturing Data Reports (MDR) upon completion of each product/project - Liaise with production, planning, and materials departments for quality control Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with 8 to 12 years of experience in QA/QC functions in Pressure Vessels, Boiler, or fabrication industry - ASNT Level II certified with good knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques - Excellent communication and negotiation skills (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description),
