Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies:

    Create and refine procurement policies and strategies to align with company goals.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers:

    Research, identify, and select vendors based on criteria like price, quality, and delivery time.
  • Negotiate contracts:

    Secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Manage vendor relationships:

    Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Oversee purchasing team:

    Hire, train, and manage purchasing agents and buyers to ensure they follow procedures and meet ethical standards.
  • Track and analyze data:

    Monitor inventory levels, analyze spending, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
  • Process purchase orders:

    Manage the entire process from reviewing purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
