Assistant Manager - Production (Moulding)

Role & responsibilities:

1.

a. Ensures that daily schedules, quality and production goals are met, troubleshoots problems as required.

b. Provide technical leadership for department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements.

c. Analyse and plans workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow including design layouts for equipment and workspace.

d. Maintains constructive working relationship with business units, customers, and internal departments including effective communication, coordination of WIP and process improvement.

e. Develops systems for tracking efficiency, quality, scrap, rework, etc. Identifies and implements steps for improvement.

f. Researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement, identifies new technologies and expansion plans.

g. Other duties as assigned.

Ensures employees complete safety training, safe work environment established, leads department safety team, provides leadership for plant wide program.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing environment & strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and production.
• Familiarity with materials such as plastics, rubber, or metals.
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic knowledge of ERP system.
