Assistant Manager - Maintenance

Job Description

Scope: - All departmental machinery installed within the plant across operations - Electrical systems, mechanical interfaces, and calibration equipment maintenance Key responsibilities: 1) Organise breakdown intimation intake through written, verbal, or interaction-based channels 2) Analyse the nature of equipment failure with maintenance team 3) Rectify breakdowns and restore equipment to satisfactory functionality 4) Engage and coordinate with approved external service agencies when required 5) Maintain detailed breakdown records and update equipment history cards 6)Issue calibration status intimations when calibrated instruments are replaced 7)Perform breakdown cause analysis using Pareto methods 8)Develop and track action plans with defined targets for breakdown reduction 9)Review action plan progress bi-annually with the review committee 10)Analysis & Monitor the Energy & Powe activities - rooftop solar, energy consumption, etc.., 11) Repair and Maintenance cost saving initiatives Preferred candidate profile a) Technical: 1.Breakdown diagnostics and repair strategy 2.Electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial machine interface 3.Maintenance record keeping, history card management 4.Root cause analysis Pareto and corrective action planning 5.Vendor coordination for outsourced maintenance 6.Awareness of calibration processes b) Behavioural 1.Team player and collaborative mindset 2.Proactive in planning and executing tasks 3.Autonomous with minimal supervision 4.Time-bound and outcome-focused 5.Analytical with a continuous improvement approach 6.Systematic, process-oriented, and disciplined in documentation
