Assistant Manager Maintenance (Electronics)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure the machines availability as required for production at optimum cost by maintaining safety through work permits and compliance to safety requirement on machine

To support erection and commissioning of equipment as per plan and undertake periodic schedule maintenances to ensure the highest level of equipment reliability.

Team Leadership:

Demonstrate high level of leadership by development of team members through

A. Skill Mapping and training plan implementation to enhance engineering knowledge and skills.

B. Performance rating system

C. Drive continual improvement and total employee involvement through

100%involvement 5S initiatives, kaizens, Quality improvement projects (QIP)

Functional Leadership

1. To reduce automated PLC Controlled plastic and paper bags making machines/down time through various maintenance techniques, root cause analysis and improvement projects and activities.

2. To improve plant safety by elimination of unsafe conditions.

3. To support Autonomous Maintenance-Step-3 clearances of the identified machines.

4. To maintain Capex, R&M, Stores& spares cost in optimum utilization of the resources.

5. To improve preventive maintenance of equipments and adherence to PM schedules.

6. Reduction in Avg. No. of breakdown hour p.m. for the section.

7. Adherence to predictive maintenance and improvement in PM effectiveness score

8. Zero failure program and improve in MTBF and MTTR

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in PLC Engineering designs & systems (Advanced)

(Knowledge & ability for preventive & breakdown maintenance as well excellent command on PLC Programming on various make Like ABB, Siemens S700, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Rockwell Automation etc.

• Analytical skills (Advanced)

(Analyzes issues in the PLC ladder programming and breaks them down to component parts. Networking, Online trouble shooting when not available in factory through remote access tec.

• Proficiency in Plant systems & processes (Capable)

(Ability to understand & implement 5S, safety practices, production best practices, QBM, BPR and other contemporary systems & process.)

• Business Focus (Foundational)

(Knowhow on organization mission, Code of conduct, product SKUs, accountabilities w.r.t market scenario & competition & ability to apply in one's role)

QUALIFICATION & Exp:

Degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from the AICTE approved institutions with Minimum +8 years of relevant experience in the engineering function.

Worked in the Executive role for minimum 4--5 years at one level below or at the same position at the shop floor level & effectively handling PLC based equipment trouble shooting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Preferably from Process Industry of the respective sections Viz. Plastic, Tire building, Tire curing and final finish.
