Assistant Manager Lab Safety

You will be responsible for monitoring adherence to all applicable laboratory safety regulations and guidelines in the Education Industry. It is essential to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safety standards and implement necessary changes in laboratory procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Regular safety inspections of laboratory facilities and equipment will be conducted by you to identify potential hazards and take preventive measures. Ensuring proper labeling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials is a crucial aspect of the role. You will also be required to develop and deliver comprehensive laboratory safety training programs for all lab personnel, including new hires and refresher courses. Educating staff on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency procedures will be part of your responsibilities. Conducting training sessions on specific hazards associated with chemicals and experiments used in the laboratory will be a key task. Investigating all laboratory accidents and near misses to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions will also be part of your duties.
