Role & responsibilities The Assistant Manager, IT Ops (Product) will play a crucial role in IT Servicedesk & supporting the product management team in all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, market awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for building exceptional products that meet customer needs. Responsibilities: 1. Product Planning and Development: a. Assist in the development of product roadmaps and prioritize features based on market needs and business objectives. b. Contribute to the creation of product requirements documents (PRDs) and user stories. c. Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure successful product development. d. Assist in the management of the product backlog. 2. Product Launch: a. Support the development of go-to-market strategies and launch plans. b. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create product messaging and collateral. c. Track product performance and analyse key metrics to identify areas for improvement. d. Assist in training sales and support teams on new product features. 3. Product Performance and Optimization: a. Monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement. b. Analyse user feedback and usage data to optimize product features and functionality. c. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). d. Assist in the creation of A/B testing plans. 4. Cross-functional Collaboration: a. Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams. b. Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams. c. Act as a liaison between the product team and other departments. 5. Documentation and Reporting: a. Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation. b. Prepare regular reports on product performance and market trends. c. Document all product decisions and reasoning. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience in product management, marketing, or a related field (ITSM and Inventory Management). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Strong understanding of customer needs and market trends. Experience with product analytics tools.
