Assistant Manager - Customs & Logistics

Role & responsibilities Imports documentation & operations for Solar cell, module, BOM and CAPEX Equipment. Prepare price comparison for Module BoM items based on landed cost, Track and manage inventory for cell and module line BoM items. Liaison with Customs Department for In-Bond Manufacturing License. Process application for Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty (IGCR) pertaining to Raw Material Import. Handling Local Logistics. Ensure : cost effective planning & operations at all ports, Post NND & the material sailed from loading port till containers are returned to the shipping lines. Correct FTR Import documentation before arrival of the consignment at discharge port. OTIF & FTR MIS. Handling forwarding for EXW / FOB / terms of trade for Solar module and cell BOM. Interface with logistics service providers for coordination with Customs / S / Lines / CFS / Rail Operators / Transporters / Freight Forwarders/ Shipping lines & other related departments. Movement plan & arrival status from port to plant, follow up with Transporter. Duty Exemption License closure from customs. Coordination with : Purchase/Procurement for Imports plan and documentation CHA / Customs / Custodian/ S/lines/ LSP for financial losses control. Plant for movement trailers/Tanks from Port. Accounts for Duty & Vendor payments Functional Skills Having practical experience Import Order Executions, handling Letter of Credit, Shipping, Import Inspections, Documentations, Transportation Management, Logistics and Shipping management. Cost sensitivity to achieve cost savings in logistics/shipping. Customer, Data and Documentation Control, MIS. Good knowledge of MS Office, SAP. Good Communication Skills.
