Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining the Finance - Cost Centre of Excellence (Cost CoE) team as an Assistant Manager - Cost CoE based in Gurgaon, India. The team's primary focus is on enhancing cost transparency, identifying optimization opportunities, and developing best practices to drive business performance and ensure regulatory compliance. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the accrual and accounting process of cost areas, providing insightful analysis, supporting the month-end process, and contributing to FIL-wide projects within your Cost area. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage the end-to-end accrual and accounting process of cost areas, including people cost. - Create engaging monthly and ad-hoc analysis, analyzing movements with a Controlling and Business Finance perspective. - Support the month-end process by investigating variances with budget/forecast and providing actionable insights. - Understand stakeholder requests and provide feasible solutions. - Conduct monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and lead the overall month-end close process. - Participate in FIL-wide projects or tasks related to your Cost area. - Maintain a high level of risk awareness and establish a sound control environment to mitigate risk effectively. Qualification Required: - Qualified CA/MBA Finance with up to 6+ years of experience in accounting, data analytics, reporting, and reconciliations. - Profound understanding of cost accounting and its impact on Controllership and Business Finance. - Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new ideas. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. - Knowledge of Essbase, SmartView, Oracle Fusion, and visualization tools like Power BI, Alteryx & Tableau would be advantageous. - Excellent communication skills and experience working with multi-cultural teams in a geographically diverse environment.
