Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee transportation operations across all store formats and geographic locations.
  • Monitor and improve

    On-Time Delivery (OTD)

    performance across the network.
  • Track all shipments to ensure

    100% delivery

    of invoiced materials with full accuracy.
  • Manage

    Proof of Delivery (POD) collection

    , transporter performance, and

    billing

    accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain transporter scorecards to evaluate performance and drive accountability.
  • Benchmark and reduce transportation costs through analytics, negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Ensure delivery accuracy by minimizing short/damaged goods received at stores.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams including RKFL, Order Management, Inventory, and Stores.
  • Drive automation of KPI dashboards and improve visibility into transportation performance.
  • Identify and implement transportation cost optimization initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Resolve shipment delays within defined turnaround times and improve responsiveness.

  • On-Time Delivery (%)
  • Transportation Cost per Shipment (and other relevant parameters)
  • POD Submission Compliance (%)
  • Transporter Performance Scorecard (Rating)
  • Delivery Accuracy (% match with invoice; short/damaged at stores)
  • Freight Bill Accuracy (%)
  • Number of Transportation Cost Optimization Initiatives
  • KPI Dashboard Automation Coverage (%)
  • Shipment Delay Resolution TAT (Average Time)

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel, TMS, ERP systems, and dashboarding tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong ownership and drive for continuous improvement

Experience & Background:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.

  • 3 to 5

    years of experience in transportation/logistics operations or control tower roles.
  • Strong understanding of

    transportation management systems (TMS), freight billing

    , and logistics analytics.
  • Proven experience in

    cost negotiation

    and

    vendor performance

    management.
