Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • The candidate need to do complete Account Management for the given set of Key clients along with New business activities.
  • He/She should be able to give demos to clients, in ministries, attend meetings and take informative decisions.
  • Close coordination with internal teams including various state teams, IT, operations, finance for rolling out projects, coordination with clients at all levels including MDs and Secretaries in ministries.
  • Would be responsible for timely raising the invoices, renewal of contracts, tracking of collections.
  • Would be responsible for up-selling , cross-selling and conceptual selling.
  • The role would require at times travelling to other states to support the project or support the state teams & local authorities to roll out projects.
  • Revenue generation and collections as per the mutually agreed annual target for the said geography in both Agri & Non-Agri business verticals

Preferred candidate profile

  • The ideal candidate should be an enterprising person with fair exposure to government and corporate business departments and agri corporates.
  • Prior experience in dealing with Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Dairy, Agriculture Marketing departments will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to drive business and generate new leads with possible solutions .
  • Exposure to commodity trade in general. Exposure in pulses, sugar, oilseeds, F&V would be desirable
  • Understanding of the commodity markets and its entire value chain across the commodity ecosystem Linkages with Agri commodity trade houses, export firms and Agri related corporates.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local government, trade, banks, community- based organizations, and the private sector Experience in networking with the various stakeholders in the government departments and agencies.
  • Prior experience in bid / tendering process including record of accomplishment of successful wins.
  • Added advantage, if candidate has led a team size of 4-5 members direct reportees.
  • Prior experience in managing technology intensive projects will be highly advantageous for the candidature.
