Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Personal Loan Product is responsible for supporting the development, sales, and management of personal loan products. The role focuses on driving business growth, ensuring compliance with policies, improving customer experience, and coordinating with sales, credit, operations, and risk teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Business Management

  • Support end-to-end management of personal loan products, including pricing, features, and schemes
  • Assist in launching new personal loan offerings and promotional campaigns
  • Monitor product performance, portfolio growth, and profitability

Sales & Distribution Support

  • Work closely with branch teams, DSAs, and digital channels to achieve sales targets
  • Provide product training and support to sales staff
  • Resolve product-related queries from sales and channel partners

Credit & Risk Coordination

  • Coordinate with credit and risk teams to ensure adherence to underwriting policies
  • Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency trends, and early warning signals
  • Support policy updates based on market and risk insights

Operations & Customer Experience

  • Ensure smooth processing of personal loan applications
  • Address escalations related to turnaround time, documentation, and disbursements
  • Improve customer journey and reduce operational bottlenecks

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Prepare MIS, dashboards, and management reports
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections related to personal loans

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of personal loan products and retail lending
  • Knowledge of credit appraisal, risk assessment, and compliance norms
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred
