Key Responsibilities

As Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Managing and supervising end-to-end

    Accounts Payable

    processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  2. Reviewing and processing invoices, expense reports, vendor payments, and reconciliations accurately while maintaining proper documentation.
  3. Overseeing vendor relationship management by addressing queries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  4. Implementing process optimization initiatives for the Accounts Payable function, improving efficiency and reducing risks and redundancies.
  5. Managing a diverse team of accounts payable associates, mentoring and guiding them to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
  6. Preparing and analyzing reports such as aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and account reconciliations to monitor the departments performance effectively.

Key Requirements

  1. Educational Background Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A professional certification such as CA/ICWA/CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
  2. Experience Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable operations, with good exposure to Financial Services or shared service environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, inclusive of invoice handling, payments processing, and vendor management.
  4. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.).
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver results with tight timelines.
  6. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
