Assistant Manager - Accounts (Charted Accountant)

About the Position:

Responsible for building talent across the accounting department and support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance department and staff training given as and when required. In leadership position, the Head of Accounting plays a mentorship role to key accounting personnel, supporting their continuous professional growth and readying them for the succession of his position in the future.

To lead on technical accounting compliance requirements, developing knowledge throughout the team and with other decorates where appropriate to ensure compliance. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods,

policies and principles.

Role & responsibilities

This is the most basic function of the finance department. It involves the day-to-day recording, analysis and

interpretation of a companys financial transactions. This will include the tracking of all Income & Expenses.

Managing maintenance of statutory books of accounts viz, Journal, ledger, Purchase Register, Sales Register, cash

book and subsidiaries in compliance with time & accuracy norms.

Scrutiny of General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables, Bank reconciliation, daily voucher

checking for vendor payments, approving petty cash vouchers.

Managing daily funds reconciliation for vendor payments & other payments.

Responsible for Bank reconciliation, Inter Company reconciliation & statutory liability reconciliation.

Responsible for Finalization of Accounts & prepared monthly financials statement like Profit & Loss a/c & Balance

Sheet with schedules.

Ensuring Vendor reconciliations.

Ensuring customer ledgers match with sales & remittances received against shipments.

Developing systems, processes and policies related to funds utilization, cost control.

Preparing quarterly P&L & analysis for proper working capital Management.

Managing and coordinating with other department for all activities having impact on Finance and accounts

department.

General Ledger Scrutiny to prevent any errors/omissions and ensuring no back dated entries are made in the books

of account

Checking & reporting of Duty Drawback on exports of Pharmaceuticals.

Banking

To maintain day to day relationship with bank and other treasurer service providers.

Look after day to daily remittances & meet all compliances as per Banking Rules.

Online Payments, Outward Remittances, Inward Remittances etc.

Submitting appropriate documents to Bankers for clearance of Bank Realization Certificates as per RBI Compliances

MEIS Licensing application, Sale of license with accurate rate confirmation

ROC Compliance

To endure company secretarial information shared with consultants.

Ensuring filling of necessary Forms & returns on MCA portal.

Management of Taxes

Monthly calculations of TDS liability & timely make payment of Tax. Responsible for quarterly filling of returns.

Analysis of Input credit match with GST portal.

Monthly filling of GST R1 returns.

Filling of GST 3B & ensuring match with GSTR 2.

Yearly LUT application & certification.

Ensuring for filling of GST refund & cross checking with accounting data

Management of Companys Investments

Analysis of Investment in Shares, maintaining company wise data & reconciled profit & Loss of sales & purchase of

shares.

Calculations of Fixed Deposits with Banks, calculations of Interest accrued & TDS deducted

Financial Reporting and analysis

Financial reporting and analysis is the function that takes raw accounting entries and transforms them into

meaningful, usable and comparable financial statements. The finance department contributes to organizational

growth by measuring and reporting on regular bases, key numbers that are vital to the success of the company.

This will likely include a summary of all funding sources, expenditures and reserves available for future use are

usually communicated to management in a logical and understandable format
