Assistant Maintenance Manager

General Maintenance & Repair:

• Equipment Maintenance:

  Operating and maintaining various sheet metal machinery, including trim folders, rollformers, coil slit lines, and cut-to-length machines. 

• Troubleshooting:

  Diagnosing and resolving issues with equipment, machinery, and sheet metal products. 

• Preventive Maintenance:

  Performing routine checks, lubrication, and adjustments to prevent equipment breakdowns. 

• Welding & Soldering:

  Joining sheet metal components using welding, soldering, or other methods. 

• Assembly & Installation:

  Assembling and installing sheet metal products, including HVAC ductwork and other components. 

• Repairing & Replacing:

  Fixing damaged sheet metal products and replacing worn or broken parts. 

• Inspections:

  Conducting regular inspections to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards. 

• Fabrication:

  Creating and altering sheet metal parts as needed, potentially using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machines. 

• Material Handling:

  Safely handling and positioning sheet metal materials, including moving and securing large components. 

Safety & Compliance:

• Safety Procedures:

   Adhering to all safety regulations and company procedures.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

   Wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

• Cleanliness:

   Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Quality Control:

   Ensuring that all work meets quality standards and specifications. 

Other Responsibilities:

• Reading Blueprints & Specifications:

   Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to guide work. 

• Collaboration:

   Working with other team members and project managers to complete tasks. 

• Record Keeping:

   Maintaining records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used. 

• Inventory Management:

   Managing materials and parts needed for maintenance and repairs. 

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:

   Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques, fabrication processes, and equipment operation. 

• Problem-Solving:

   Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. 

• Attention to Detail:

   Ability to work with precision and accuracy. 

• Physical Stamina:

   Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying materials. 

• Communication:

   Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. 

• Experience:

   Proven experience in a similar role, such as a sheet metal mechanic or technician. 

• Certifications:

   Relevant certifications, such as welding or HVAC installation, are often preferred.
