Assistant Machine Operator

Job Summary:

The

This role is ideal for individuals with basic technical skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a production environment.

Key Skills:

• Operate assigned fully automatic machines under the guidance of OP1.
• Perform start-up and shutdown procedures through HMI interfaces after training.
• Monitor machine status, product flow, and basic parameters during operation.
• Respond to minor alarms and escalate machine issues to OP1 or maintenance.

Setup & Changeover Assistance:

• Assist in

  machine setup and changeover activities

  , including tool or fixture preparation.
• Help load machine programs/recipes via HMI as instructed.
• Prepare raw materials and packaging for the shift.

Basic Quality Checks:

• Conduct

  visual inspections

  for defects, damage, or misprints.
• Perform

  basic dimensional checks

  using gauges, rulers, or templates.
• Record rejection data and inform OP1/QA team of any non-conformities.

Documentation:

• Maintain daily production records, quantities produced, and material usage logs.
• Assist in entering basic production or batch information into HMI panels or paper forms.

Safety & Housekeeping:

• Follow all workplace

  safety rules and PPE requirements

• Ensure the machine and surrounding area are clean and organized.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or injuries.

Team Support & Communication:

• Coordinate with OP1 and other team members for smooth line operations.
• Support OP3 (helpers) in material movement and housekeeping tasks.
• Participate in team briefings and training sessions.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Prior experience in a printing environment is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in UV and 1 over 1 perfecting printing systems.
• Experience working in rotational Shifts

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of machine operations and material handling.
• Willingness to learn and assist in troubleshooting minor machine issues.
