Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Librarian located at the Teerthanker Mahaveer University campus in Moradabad. The Assistant Librarian will manage daily library operations, including cataloging, organizing, and maintaining library materials. Responsibilities include assisting library users, providing library instruction, managing metadata, and ensuring the effective use of resources. The role also involves implementing policies that enhance the library's accessibility and efficiency while promoting a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Library Services and Library Science practices
• Skills in managing Metadata and Library Management systems
• Experience in providing Library Instruction and assisting users
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with technology and digital tools used in modern libraries
• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade and a consistently good academic record.
• Qualifying in the National Level Test (NET) conducted by UGC
• Knowledge of emerging trends in information management is a plus
