Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager - Stock, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring real-time stock updates to minimize discrepancies. You will monitor stock movement, verify stock availability, and ensure that all materials are stored and recorded properly. Your role will involve coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams to manage stock replenishment, prevent shortages, and avoid overstocking. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies. - Identify and reconcile stock discrepancies by analyzing records and physical stock. - Resolve any variances within 48 hours and take necessary corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. - Ensure optimal storage utilization by strategically placing stock in designated locations for easy accessibility and minimal handling time. - Collaborate with the warehouse team to organize stock based on product type, frequency of movement, and safety guidelines. - Develop strategies to reduce stock loss, optimize stock movement, and improve workflow. - Maintain seamless communication and coordination between the warehouse, procurement, and dispatch teams to facilitate smooth stock movement. - Proactively prevent delays in order fulfillment by ensuring necessary stock availability as per demand. - Escalate critical stock shortages or delays to the Warehouse Manager. - Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and audit requirements in stock handling. - Conduct regular safety checks to prevent potential hazards and ensure proper stock storage and handling. - Train warehouse staff on proper stock management procedures to maintain operational excellence. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. - Proven experience in stock management, inventory control, and warehouse operations. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvements and implement efficient stock control mechanisms. - Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in stock handling. - Certification in stock management or related field would be an advantage.
