Assistant Engineer-CMM QA

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for computerized measuring machine (CMM) inspection

Conduct all the tests are as per requirement and prepare reports

Inspect new dies (In-house, Out-sourced, Fixed Insert change, re-sink) as and when required and ensure die parameters are as per the requirement

Check the new Die inserting

Verify and inspect 1st piece of all new dies and process for approval

Coordinate for calibration and inspection of the Spectro as per defined frequency

Inspect all received Gauge and Fixtures as per the defined procedure and prepare necessary reports

Undertake layout inspection and components checking on the CMM machines for checking alignment of the product with the original drawings and specs

Prepare CMM reports for all inspections undertaken and share the same with the Incharge

Implement identified improvement projects in the section

Undertake gauge, instrument and equipment calibration and alignment used at the plant as per defined frequency

Analyze recurring issues with gauges and propose solutions to rectify the same

¢ Raise requests for procuring new measuring equipment and share the request with the Standard Room Incharge for further approvals

¢ Review the design of all the received gauges to reduce the cost and make the gauges easy to use

¢ Conduct audit of all the running gauges against the defined guidelines and parameter and prepare audit report

Inspect all Jigs/ Fixtures and cutting tools as per the defined procedure and prepare necessary reports

Preferred candidate profile

¢ Knowledge of New Die inspection techniques.

¢ Knowledge of gauges & equipments

Knowledge of Quality improvement techniques

¢ Knowledge and skills of conducting Quality process audit

¢ Knowledge of Quality Control Practices

¢ Knowledge of Calibration instruments
