Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager (AM/DM) - Claims at our Kolhapur location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claims management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. This role will involve managing end-to-end claims processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, and delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

    1. Claims Management:

      • Oversee end-to-end claims processing, including claim registration, assessment, and settlement.
      • Ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims while adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
      • Handle complex claims and provide guidance on escalated cases.
    2. Team Leadership:

      • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of claims professionals to achieve operational excellence.
      • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team knowledge and skills.
      • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
    3. Client Servicing:

      • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding claims-related queries and concerns.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
      • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by delivering prompt and efficient service.
    4. Process Improvement:

      • Identify areas for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline claims workflows.
      • Monitor claims metrics and prepare regular reports for management review.
    5. Compliance and Risk Management:

      • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
      • Identify and mitigate risks associated with claims handling.
    6. Reporting and Analysis:

      • Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
      • Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management on claims performance and outcomes.

Key Requirements:

    • Experience:

      • 7 to 13 years of experience in claims management, preferably in the insurance or risk management industry.
      • Experience in handling complex claims and managing client relationships is essential.
    • Education:

      • Bachelors degree in any discipline (a degree in insurance, risk management, or a related field is preferred).
      • Professional certifications such as AIC, CPCU, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
    • Skills:

      • Strong knowledge of claims processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
      • Leadership and team management capabilities.
      • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and claims management software.
    • Other Requirements:

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
