Assistant / Deputy Engineer -Design (P - 6500)

Position:

• Receipt of enquiries and registration in RFQ Register, with periodic updates and sharing with the team.
  
• Detailed study of drawings & standards, seeking clarifications from Marketing/Customer on missing information.
  
• Conduct CFT review for new enquiries.
  
• Carry out feasibility study, process sequencing, and BOM preparation.
  
• Prepare job work product and process quotations.
  
• Obtain supplier quotes through Purchase or calculate target cost internally.
  
• Prepare cost inputs and BOM.
  
• Provide weekly updates to CFT regarding RFQ status and pipeline parts.
  
• Share cost details with Marketing, along with feasibility insights, deviations, assumptions, or alternate recommendations.
  
• Provide technical clarifications during negotiations if required.
  
• Revisit costing when necessary.
  
• Handle receipt of Order/PO and Development Authorization Note from Marketing.
  
• Compare BOM and cost with quotation and PO for both new and repeat orders.
  
• Incorporate customer-specific requirements.
  
• Raise deviation approval requests with customers when required.
  
• Register and monitor NPD products.
  
• Conduct CFT reviews and prepare project time plans.
  
• Develop process sequence, detailed drawings, and BOM.
  
• Provide inputs for procurement of RM, consumables, child parts, and tools.
  
• Handle SAP entries and release drawings.
  
• Define gauge requirements for manufacturing.
  
• Coordinate PPC schedules for proto/series sample development.
  
• Follow up on product development activities.
  
• Manage sample development and product validation.
  
• Coordinate inspections, sample submissions, and address deviations if required.
  
• Share development status and progress updates with the team.
  
• Release control copy drawings for mass production.
