Assistant Credit Manager

As the Assistant Credit Manager at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operations of accounts receivables. This includes ensuring that invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner, following up on delinquent accounts, and making credit authorization decisions for incoming customers. You will be required to interact with sales and catering staff to make timely credit decisions and uphold the policies outlined in the credit policy. In terms of education and experience, a 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major is required for this role, with no prior work experience necessary. Your core work activities will involve generating accurate reports and presentations, completing accounts receivable period end closing functions, and interacting with various stakeholders to ensure timely collections. Additionally, you will be responsible for demonstrating and applying accounting knowledge to credit management issues, staying up-to-date with relevant information, and leading the credit management team. This will involve utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead and develop billing and accounts receivable employees. Maintaining finance and accounting goals will be a crucial aspect of your role, which includes submitting reports in a timely manner, ensuring accurate documentation of profits and losses, and monitoring receivables for timely collections. You will also have additional responsibilities such as providing information to supervisors and maintaining positive working relations with customers and department managers.
