Job Title: Assistant Category Manager Cakes Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Category Executive to drive growth and innovation in our Cakes category . This role involves planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, analyzing performance, and managing the product portfolio to deliver exceptional customer experience and business results. Key Responsibilities Planning and Strategy Assist in developing strategies to drive sales and profitability for the cakes category. Conduct competitor analysis to identify market trends and new business opportunities. Product Selection & Development Collaborate with the central kitchen to curate a high-quality and innovative product assortment. Recommend new and trending cakes to attract and retain customers. Stock & Inventory Management Monitor stock levels to prevent out-of-stock situations or overstocking. Coordinate with the operations team to maintain consistent product availability across platforms. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze sales and performance data to evaluate category health. Prepare and maintain reports for weekly and monthly category reviews. Key Projects Private Label Development Identify opportunities for exclusive and premium cake offerings. Partner with reliable suppliers for private label production. Ensure quality assurance and implement sustainable sourcing practices. Support development of customizable and occasion-specific products. Benchmark against competitor offerings to determine pricing and innovation opportunities. Regular Tasks & Timelines Daily: Monitor order reports and analyze sales to ensure daily sales targets are met. Weekly/Monthly: Suggest new product ideas and collaborate with the design, content, and catalog teams for product launch activities. Coordinate with the operations and vendor teams for onboarding and serviceability. Work with the merchandising team for campaign placements and promotions. Oversee product activation/deactivation and update catalog accordingly. Monitor and optimize stock health regularly. Review NPS (Net Promoter Score) and conduct product checks based on order feedback. Skills & Requirements 1–3 years of experience in category management, preferably in F&B/e-commerce. Strong analytical and Excel skills. Good coordination and communication abilities. Creative thinker with a keen eye for trends and product innovation. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.
