Assistant/ Associate Professor (Civil Procedure Code)

You have an exciting opportunity to join BITS Law School, Mumbai as an Assistant/Associate Professor specializing in Civil Procedure Code (CPC). As part of the faculty, your responsibilities will include: - Teaching semester-length courses in Civil Procedure Code (CPC) to students enrolled in 5-year BA/BBA LLB programs. - Ensuring high-quality teaching by incorporating student evaluations and feedback to enhance the learning experience. - Mentoring students in their academic journey, providing guidance in research, writing, tutorials, and individual sessions. - Developing and updating core courses while designing interdisciplinary elective courses to enrich the educational curriculum. - Actively participating in institution building by contributing to new academic ideas, innovative pedagogical techniques, and collaborative initiatives. - Maintaining a strong research agenda, producing high-quality research output, and contributing significantly to the field through scholarly publications. - Fulfilling academic duties related to examinations, internal assessments, feedback, and evaluations with integrity and dedication. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade. - Qualification in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET. - Preference for candidates with a recently awarded Ph.D. in Law or those in the final stages of their Ph.D. program at a recognized university. Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: - Demonstration of high-quality scholarly research published or accepted for publication in prestigious peer-reviewed and indexed journals. - Exposure to teaching, research, or academic project planning in collaboration with researchers from reputed national or international universities. - Strong interest in interdisciplinary research in Law and related fields.
