Job Description

Currently we are looking for a Professional Candidate who suits the " Assistant Manager CHA Operations " Experience Required: 10 to 15 years in CHA / Freight Forwarding Operations Industry: Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Import-Export, Shipping Educational Qualification: Minimum a Graduate Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily CHA operations related to import and export clearance . Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, and customs officials for smooth cargo movement. Manage and Lead documentation and operations Team. Ensure accurate and timely submission of documents like Bill of Entry, Shipping Bills, IGM, EGM, etc., through EDI. Handle clearance of bonded and non-bonded cargo under various schemes like EPCG, SEZ, EOU, MOOWR etc. Maintain close liaison with customs, port authorities, and other stakeholders. Monitor duty payments, port charges, detention/demurrage, and ensure cost optimization. Handle queries and resolve operational issues efficiently and on time. Ensure 100% compliance with customs regulations and company SOPs. Strong knowledge of Indian Customs Tariff Act, Import/Export documentation, and EDI filing. Hands-on experience with ICEGATE and related customs portals. Ability to manage a team and work under pressure. Act as a single point of contact for clients for updates on shipment status and documentation. Resolve customer queries, complaints, and escalations related to clearance and logistics. Coordinate with internal departments (documentation, transport, billing) to fulfil client needs. Provide timely MIS, shipment tracking, and clearance reports to customers. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high service levels and retention. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
