Asset and Configuration Manager - L1

In this role at Wipro Limited, you will be responsible for the following key activities: - Populating the CMDB. - Ensuring alignment of pre-defined activities with the Change Management process. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the CMS. - Taking and protecting regular snapshots and Configuration Baselines. - Triggering an auditing process on the CMDB. - Implementing a Communications plan for changes in the CMDB using the RACI model. - Ensuring appropriate backups are taken. - Considering the usage of a Definitive Media Library when necessary. - Making recommendations for Service Improvement Plans. - Performing the Service Asset and Configuration process as designed. - Developing and ensuring the fitness of the Service Asset and Configuration Management process. - Ensuring process description meets objectives. - Sponsoring, designing, and continuously improving the process and its metrics. - Following the organization's policies relating to employment. Key Skills and Competencies required for this role include: - Good analytic and decision-making skills. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Conflict resolution abilities. - Technical background with demonstrated skills in at least one or multiple IT technologies/disciplines. - IT hardware and software setup, management, and troubleshooting capabilities. - Experience in Configuration Management including document control, source code management, and Defect Management tools. - Ability to create a CMDB repository. - Understanding of the software development lifecycle. - Experience working in a multi-site environment. - Extensive experience with SCM tools and build automation software.
