Asset and Configuration Coordinator

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Configuration Management System and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) at Wipro Limited. As a Configuration Coordinator, you will work closely with the Configuration Management Process Manager to ensure the integrity of the CMDB and associated libraries. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining information about Configuration Items required for delivering IT services, creating a logical model of the IT infrastructure components and their associations, accurately registering all CIs, interfacing with support organizations to ensure effective use of the CMDB, recommending improvements for the CMDB's integrity, creating reports and analyses when requested, ensuring CI Owners maintain proper Configuration Management process disciplines, controlling and auditing all changes to CIs and the CMS, defining naming conventions for CIs, owning the CMS, and conducting audits of CIs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the change and release team to keep the CMS up-to-date, define an audit policy and process for local and remote CIs, handle discrepancies from audits, maintain storage areas for CIs, and safeguard the logic integrity of the CMDB and associated libraries. As a Configuration Librarian, you will supervise and control the receipt, identification, storage, and withdrawal of supported CIs, assist in identifying products and CIs, maintain information on CI status, record and distribute Configuration Management issues, archive superseded configurations, notify holders of changes, and assist in conducting audits. Key skills and competencies required for this role include good analytic and decision-making skills, effective communication and presentation skills, conflict resolution abilities, technical background in IT technologies, hardware and software setup and troubleshooting capabilities, experience with SCM tools and build automation software, and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
