Job Description

Role Purpose

To facilitate and manage manufacturing processes to meet organizational objectives efficiently and effectively by optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and methods.

Experience:

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and execute the business plan across shift, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual horizons, with a strong customer focus.
  • Carry out micro-level planning in consultation with the Section Head and senior management to achieve defined targets.
  • Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with shop-floor operators; counsel employees on absenteeism, leave planning, productivity improvement, employee involvement initiatives, and personal concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to overtime, working hours, holiday working, and industrial relations, including disciplinary procedures.
  • Communicate operational requirements clearly to Material, Maintenance, and HR departments through established organizational channels, specifying exact needs to achieve desired results; coordinate closely to secure timely support.
  • Maintain strong reporting discipline, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
  • Closely monitor operations to ensure adherence to quality, productivity, safety, discipline, and employee morale standards.
  • Coordinate and provide training (on-the-job and off-the-job) to new employees in collaboration with designated training departments.
  • Maintain all relevant records as required under statutory regulations and for audit purposes (e.g., IATF/TS 16949, EMS, and other applicable systems).
  • Initiate and promote employee involvement activities such as suggestion schemes, quality circles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively communicate operational concerns and risks impacting day-to-day activities to superiors.
  • Continuously update knowledge on quality systems and processes, design parameters, and maintenance techniques.
