ASM (Area Sales Manager)

Job Description:

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing distribution, and strengthening market presence in the assigned territory. The role requires prior ASM-level experience in the FMCG sector and strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
• Expand distribution network and ensure product availability across all markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key partners.
• Ensure proper coverage, product visibility, and merchandising across outlets.
• Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs and evaluate team performance
• Identify new business opportunities and potential markets to expand distribution.
• Monitor sales team performance through route plans, productivity reports & daily activity tracking.
• Handle escalations, resolve distributor/retailer issues, and maintain strong trade relations.
• Implement trade promotions, schemes, and visibility programs effectively.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of proven experience as an ASM in the FMCG field (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of FMCG distribution, retail channels, and market dynamics
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, guide, and motivate a sales team.
• Willingness to travel extensively across South Kerala.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
