Position: Area Sales Manager Sales (Commodity Foods)

Job Responsibilities:

• Sales & Business Development

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned regions.
• Drive secondary and primary sales for atta, maida, and sooji products.
• Expand market penetration through new distributors, wholesalers, and retail outlets.

• Channel & Distribution Management

• Build and manage a strong distribution network.
• Monitor stock availability, order placements, and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure distributors ROI and timely claims settlement.

• Market Expansion & Competitor Analysis

• Identify new business opportunities and untapped markets.
• Track competitor pricing, schemes, and strategies to ensure competitive edge.
• Plan regional promotional activities and product visibility campaigns.

• Team & Dealer Management

• Manage and motivate sales officers, field staff, and distributor salesmen.
• Conduct regular market visits to support field teams and resolve trade issues.
• Organize dealer/distributor meetings to strengthen relationships.

• MIS & Reporting

• Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and market feedback.
• Provide insights on customer behaviour, competitor moves, and product acceptance.
• Ensure timely submission of sales forecasts and territory performance reviews.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as

  ASM in commodity food products (Atta, Maida, Sooji, Sugar, Oil, etc.)

  .
• Strong expertise in

  channel sales, distribution handling, and trade marketing

  .
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Ability to achieve business targets and manage P&L for the territory.
