1. Role Overview

high-performing Area Sales Manager

dealer appointments, builder/project acquisitions, technical product promotion, payment recovery, and structured field execution

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Market Development

  • Expand AEROBILD AAC Blocks sales across all assigned districts
  • Develop district-wise and city-wise market plans
  • Identify high-potential markets (Vijayawada, Tenali, Guntur, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, etc.)
  • Drive product penetration in Tier 2 & Tier 3 contractor networks
  • Conduct regular customer visits, follow-ups, and site engagements

B. Dealer Appointment & Channel Activation

  • Appoint new dealers in key towns across the 4 districts
  • Strengthen and activate existing dealer network
  • Ensure dealers follow company policies, pricing, and payment terms
  • Support dealers with product training, marketing support, and sales promotions
  • Build strong supply–demand consistency for dealer channels

C. Builder, Contractor & Project Sales

  • Identify upcoming and ongoing construction projects in each district
  • Build strong relationships with:
    • Builders
    • Contractors
    • Developers
    • Engineers
    • Architects
    • Consultants
  • Conduct product demos, technical discussions, and site conversions
  • Track and influence material procurement for major projects

D. Recovery, Payment Collection & Compliance

  • Ensure

    Payment Before Dispatch

    strictly for all orders
  • Manage recovery follow-ups and clear old outstanding professionally
  • Maintain transparent recovery updates with HO and Accounts Team
  • Personally visit customers who delay payments until issues are resolved
  • Ensure zero leakage, zero unloading without payment approval

E. Reporting, Planning & Field Execution

  • Create and follow beat plans covering all key markets weekly
  • Submit daily visit reports, customer updates, and call summaries
  • Maintain weekly order pipeline, collection plan, and market forecasts
  • Provide structured MIS on:
    • Dealer-wise sales
    • Builder/contractor prospects
    • Competitor pricing & market trends
    • New opportunities and risks
  • Coordinate closely with plant dispatch, accounts, and management

F. Coordination & Internal Alignment

  • Work closely with:
    • Dispatch team for material planning
    • Accounts team for recovery
    • Management for pricing approvals
    • HO for reporting and strategy
  • Participate in weekly reviews and monthly performance discussions

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales ability in building materials (AAC Blocks / Cement / RMC / TMT / Aggregates)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation & relationship-building
  • Strong knowledge of Krishna, Guntur, EG & WG markets
  • Ability to independently manage a 4-district cluster
  • Highly disciplined with structured execution style
  • Comfortable with Payment Before Dispatch policy
  • Field-oriented mindset with willingness to travel daily
  • Strong documentation & reporting discipline

4. Qualification

  • Graduate (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
  • 7–12 years of experience in building materials sales
  • Proven experience with dealer + builder networks in AP
