The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales, managing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring business growth within the assigned territory. The role involves developing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and expanding market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives in the assigned area.
Manage, motivate, and guide the sales team to meet individual and team targets.
Identify new business opportunities, channels, and customer segments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key clients.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
Ensure proper implementation of trade marketing and promotional activities.
Track, analyse, and report on sales performance and market insights.
Handle escalated customer queries and provide effective solutions.
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit policies.
Recruit, train, and develop sales executives within the territory.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience as Area Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager / similar role.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyse data and market trends for decision-making.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
