The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales in the assigned territory, building strong customer relationships, and guiding a team of medical representatives. The role focuses on meeting sales targets, expanding business, and ensuring smooth coordination with doctors, hospitals, and distributors.
Achieve sales targets for the assigned area.
Build and maintain relationships with doctors, hospitals, and biotech companies.
Manage, support, and motivate the field sales team (Medical Representatives/Executives).
Conduct field visits, joint calls, and provide product/market guidance to the team.
Explore new business opportunities and improve market coverage.
Share market updates, competitor activities, and customer feedback with management.
Ensure timely reporting and coordination with stockists/distributors.
Good communication and people management skills.
Ability to build trust and long-term customer relations.
Knowledge of pharma/biotech products and market trends.
Positive attitude, leadership ability, and target orientation.
Graduate in Science/Pharmacy/Biotech (MBA is an added advantage).
4 to 6 years of pharma/biotech sales experience, with some team-handling exposure.
Location: Burdwan,South KOLkata,Midnapore,Behrampore,Krishnanagar,Howrah, Siliguri.
Reporting: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Manager.
