Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Expansion & Business Development:

• Increase the presence of TATA AIGs travel insurance products in the Nagpur & Indore markets.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by sourcing travel insurance business from existing travel agents, individual agents, brokers, and corporate clients.

• Recruitment & Activation:

• Identify, onboard, and activate new travel agents and individual agents for travel insurance products.
• Meet or exceed recruitment and activation budgets.

• Relationship Management & Sales:

• Regularly visit agents and customers to promote and inform them about the TATA AIG travel insurance offerings.
• Build strong relationships with agents, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

• Payments & Account Management:

• Collect payments from agents and ensure timely clearing of outstanding dues.
• Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Cross-Selling & Group Insurance:

• Identify and explore opportunities for cross-selling group travel insurance products wherever possible.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Education:

  Graduate (Any Discipline); Insurance-related certifications will be an advantage.

• Experience:

  5-8 years of experience in sales, with a preference for candidates from the insurance, airline, or travel industry. Prior experience in travel insurance is highly desirable.

• Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the travel insurance market and products.
• Ability to engage and build strong relationships with agents, brokers, and corporates.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to manage and reconcile financial accounts effectively.
