Area Manager - Debt Management Services - The Wheels - 2W/3W
About The Role
The Area Manager - Debt Management Services - The Wheels - 2W/3W is responsible for overseeing and managing the debt recovery and collection operations for two-wheeler (2W) and three-wheeler (3W) vehicle finance portfolios within a designated geographic area. The role involves leading a team of collection officers, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, optimizing recovery processes, and achieving collection targets while maintaining high standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of collection officers and executives to ensure effective recovery of overdue payments from customers in the 2W/3W segment.

Develop and implement area-specific strategies to improve collection efficiency and minimize delinquencies.

Monitor portfolio performance, analyze collection trends, and prepare periodic reports for management review.

Coordinate with legal and repossession teams for resolution of chronic default cases.

Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory norms, and ethical collection practices.

Conduct regular training and performance reviews for team members to enhance skillsets and productivity.

Build and maintain strong relationships with local agencies, field partners, and other stakeholders.

Address and resolve escalated customer grievances and ensure satisfactory closure of cases.

Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members as required.

Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices in debt management.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is preferred.

4-7 years of experience in debt management, collections, or recovery services, preferably in vehicle finance (2W/3W).

Proven experience in team leadership and area management roles.

Strong knowledge of local regulatory norms and compliance requirements related to collections.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and collection management software.

Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.

Willingness to travel within the assigned area as required.
