Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Litigation and dispute management:
Manage the area's litigation portfolio, oversee court proceedings and arbitrations, and develop strategies for case resolution and recovery processes.
Debt recovery and asset management:
Advise recovery teams on legal procedures for asset possession and debt recovery, handle legal filings, and provide legal insights for settlement strategies.
Regulatory compliance:
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, especially those from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and local governing bodies.
Legal documentation:
Draft, review, and vet legal documents, including loan agreements, mortgages, undertakings, and master service agreements.
Risk assessment and advisory:
Provide legal counsel and risk assessments to internal business teams and management, and monitor legislative changes to implement new requirements.
Liaison and coordination:
Coordinate with external lawyers, law enforcement, and internal stakeholders to resolve legal issues and ensure effective legal processes.
Policy and record keeping:
Assist in developing and standardizing legal and operational policies and maintain accurate case records and documentation.
