Area Engineer Stress Analysis

The job involves the generation of working Piping stress Caesar model and performing stress analysis of the piping. You will be responsible for providing economical and effective piping support by generating MTO for special pipe support, TBE for spring supports, and special pipe supports. Additionally, you will be required to take care of and generate stress-relevant documentation such as the Critical line list, load data sheet, and MR for special pipe support. You should also be capable of performing pipe thickness calculations as per the latest codes and standards. Your primary responsibility will be to continuously provide support in piping engineering activities and resolve site queries related to piping issues. Furthermore, you will be involved in hot tapping design calculations and its engineering, as well as the calculation and approval of Online sealing clamp drawing. To excel in this role, you must have a Graduate Engineer (Mechanical) degree with relevant experience of 5-8 years in Design/Engineering within the field of large Oil Refinery/Petrochemical/Chemical/Fertilizer units. It is essential to have knowledge in Piping Design Engineering and possess in-depth knowledge of strength of materials, metallurgy, design codes, and standards. Moreover, you should be familiar with stress analysis software like Caesar II and have a sound understanding of stress, metallurgy, and strength of materials. Knowledge of SAP, PDS, and AutoCAD will be advantageous. You must also be well-versed in project management and be able to make decisions regarding stress analysis, support engineering, site queries, and hot tap engineering. Your responsibilities will include coordination with the Material group, preparation of working stress analysis models, and recommendations related to stress analysis and support engineering. Effective communication and presentation skills will be crucial for this role, along with the ability to effectively formulate action plans to achieve results.
