Key Responsibilities:Client Interaction: Meet with clients to understand needs, budgets, and project goals, and present design proposals.Design & Documentation: Develop concepts, create detailed drawings (floor plans, elevations), specifications, and construction documents.Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of building codes, materials, sustainability, and construction technology.Project Management: Manage timelines, budgets, and project teams from start to finish.Collaboration: Work with engineers, contractors, and construction managers to integrate systems (electrical, HVAC).Site Supervision: Visit construction sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans. Essential Skills:3D visualization and spatial reasoningStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving and leadershipProficiency in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit) Typical Work Environment:Primarily in an office setting for design and meetings, with time spent at construction sites.Often involves working more than 40 hours a week, especially during project phases.
