Role Overview: As an Architectural Model Maker, you will be responsible for building high-quality architectural scale models using various materials like acrylic, wood, cardboard, foam, resin, and 3D-printed components. Your role includes interpreting architectural plans, elevations, sections, and CAD files to create accurate physical representations. Operating hand tools, laser cutters, CNC machines, and 3D printers for fabricating parts will also be part of your tasks. Moreover, you will assemble and finish models with precision, which involves sanding, painting, and applying surface treatments. Collaboration with architects, designers, and project managers is crucial to understand design intent and timelines. You will also assist in developing prototypes and mock-ups, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace for timely completion of projects to the highest quality standards.
