Architectural Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their vision, requirements, constraints (budget, site, timeline).
• Conduct site analysis (topography, environmental, zoning, local regulations) to assess feasibility.
• Develop design concepts (sketches, renderings, models) and refine them based on client feedback.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Develop and present feasibility studies, cost estimates, project timelines.
• Secure approvals/permits from relevant authorities by ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, environmental standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams — structural, mechanical, electrical engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, contractors, etc.
• Oversee construction phases: site visits, quality control, address design issues, ensure construction aligns with plans.
• Manage project documentation: contracts, tender documents, change orders, progress reports.
• Ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, quality, and budget.
• Keep up-to-date with architectural trends, materials, sustainable design practices, innovations in building technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) is minimum; Master’s degree (M.Arch.) would be a plus.
• Experience: Several years (often 2+) of experience working in architectural design and/or project management. For senior roles, more.
• Proficiency in architectural design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM software, 3D modeling/rendering tools.
• Solid knowledge of building systems, materials, construction techniques.
• Familiarity with local codes, zoning, regulatory approvals.
• Good understanding of sustainability / green building / environmental impact considerations.

Soft Skills

• Strong visual, spatial awareness and aesthetic sense.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills: able to convey ideas clearly to clients, stakeholders, contractors.
• Problem solving: able to adapt designs in response to constraints (site, budget, regulations).
• Organizational skills: manage multiple projects, timelines, resources.
• Attention to detail, quality control mindset.
• Teamwork and ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

Reporting / Collaboration

• Reports to: (e.g.) Senior Architect / Design Director / Project Manager
• Collaborates with: Engineers, Contractors, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Clients, Regulatory Authorities etc.
• May supervise / mentor junior architects, interns etc. in more senior roles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,318.75 - ₹20,000.00 per month
