Job Description

Interior Designer responsibilities include: Undertaking design project from concept to completion Defining project requirements and schedule during the “brief” Interpreting and translating customer needs into rough plans Requirements Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions) Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design programs Excellent portfolio of previous works Creative talent, imagination and eye for design Communication and presentation skills Project management skills BS degree in Interior Design or similar Architect Skills and Qualifications: Outstanding Visualization Skills; Understanding of Construction Technologies; Visual Communication Skills; Attention to Detail; Drawing Skills; Ability to Work With Three-Dimensional Designs; Inventiveness; Interest in People and the Environment; Knowledge of Building Codes; Registration with the Architect's Registration Board; Minimum of Two Years Combined Study and Practical Experience; Written and Oral Communication Skills; High Levels of Creativity; Ability to Work Well Under Pressure; Willingness to Work Long Hours; Analytical Mind; Problem Solving Skills; Strong Leadership Skills; Ability to Work Well on a Team; Project Management Skills Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: Day shift Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Education: Diploma (Preferred) Experience: total work: 2 years (Preferred) Architecture: 2 years (Preferred)
