Role Overview: As an Applied AI Tech Lead in the applications team of the R&D team, you will drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions, bridging the gap between research and real-world applications. You will lead a team of developers and engineers to experiment, prototype, and deploy AI-powered systems across diverse industry domains. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the team remains effective in AI innovation. Additionally, you will be hands-on in coding, problem-solving, and working alongside teams to develop AI solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of AI developers and engineers in the development of novel AI models and solutions. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation and prototyping to deployment. Actively participate in coding, debugging, and optimizing AI models and solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI research into scalable products and solutions. Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and assess their feasibility for business impact. Contribute to intellectual property. Optimize and fine-tune models for real-world constraints such as efficiency, latency, and scalability. Engage with industry partners and internal stakeholders to define applied R&D roadmaps. Required Qualifications: Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in AI/ML research and applied AI development. Experience with generative AI, foundation models, or multi-modal AI systems. Hands-on experience in deploying AI models at scale in real-world environments. Proven ability to lead research initiatives, drive innovation, and manage technical teams. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Strong expertise in deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI model development. Contributions to AI research through papers, patents, or open-source projects. Strong software engineering skills in Python, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and MLOps. Familiarity with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI principles.
